Refugee Dream Center
The Refugee Dream Center (RDC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) post resettlement refugee organization based in Providence, Rhode Island. It offers customized services targeting the refugee community to ensure continuation of services in their efforts towards self-sufficiency and integration.
For many people, making sure refugees can get to the United States is the end of the story. For refugees, getting to the United States is just the beginning of our story. Too many services end after a single year. Imagine being forced to leave your entire life behind, and then being given just a single year to rebuild it—in a country where you do not speak the language, where your work qualifications no longer carry weight, where you may still be struggling with past trauma.
At the Refugee Dream Center, we provide free, on-going services to refugees in Rhode Island: English language classes, workforce training classes, health and trauma care, case management, youth mentorship, and after-school programs for children. Our mission is to help refugees for as long as they need help.
